I went to Home Depot and Walmart and I did not find any ornamental purslane. I found some portulaca, but they seemed old and spent, so I passed on them. My goal is to eventually get purslane and portulaca to reseed themselves on their own, so I can just sit back and enjoy them.
The common purslane is rather weedy and has begun to take over sunny parts of my yard. Perfect! I just go out and harvest it from time to time, and put it in salads and omelets.
