Thumb of 2016-09-04/nativeplantlover/269632<---More Fritillary caterpillars on the Wild Violets today. Plus I found eight more Monarchs....It felt nice to hold something other than a Monarch or Black Swallowtail for a change!

Thumb of 2016-09-04/nativeplantlover/fc9e81<---Tawny Emperor looking a bit beat up. Not sure if this is a male or female.
I wonder if it lived on the Hackberry volunteer I left go that was coming up through another bush?
"My work is loving the world. Here the sunflowers, there the hummingbird — equal seekers of sweetness. Here the clam deep in the speckled sand. Are my boots old? Is my coat torn? Am I no longer young, and still not half-perfect? Let me keep my mind on what matters, which is my work which is mostly standing still and learning to be astonished." — Mary Oliver, from Messenger
