Sigh, where has this year gone?It has been a rotten last 10 months, but things are now on the up and up.Spring has sprung and new seedlings starting growth.Pictures to follow.Sorry I've been very slow in replying to people's posts *Blush* I know some of you enjoy this journey as much as I.There is nothing like pollinating a bloom, collecting the seed, going through the sowing process, germination, several potting-ups, and finally a flowering stem showing colour. Will it be sufficiently different, or just another Jap iris, pretty, but just so-so.

Della, how are your JI seedlings going, or are they all gone? Crying If the latter, keep trying as once you get the hang of it, they are so easy and rewarding.

Neal, I haven't contacted the guys at Ensata Gardens yet, but regularly visit their web pages and drool.
Those last two pictures posted are just shy of 8 inches and the seedling 14-2-29 is more lavender than pink. They are both really stunning seedlings.Hope I can still say the same after their second flowering!
Evan, I should be recording bud count and branching, but honestly I just run out of puff most days.Have slowed down considerably this year.
