It looks really good to me. You could always just start cuttings.
But if your heart is set on dividing, and hanging...I don't think you'd kill it, but it would look rather sparse for a while. But then again, you'd have more pots of plants! Thumbs up

Long answer short? No, I don't think it would kill it. Smiling
