As hard as I've tried not to get or keep plants that are not winter hardy, I still find myself wondering what I'm going to do if we have a cold winter! I have my Oxypetalum, plus several Thanksgiving and Easter cacti and a few miscellaneous plants that I need to keep from freezing. Last year I just put them in the corner of the patio, next to the house and covered them with a frost blanket. Since we had such a mild winter, that worked, but if it gets really cold, I'll need to do more. I'm wondering about some large Christmas lights under the blanket.

Inside the house is a last resort, because our cat will eat anything green! Thumbs down
