I have lots of daylilies, and many of them were bought at least in part for their name associations, but I have no name or theme themed beds. I have thought about what themed beds I would do, and there would be several of them, but the closest I come to a themed bed here is the Moon Garden. However, while there are white daylilies (and irises) in there, none of them have "Moon" anywhere in the name.

A few of the plants, not just daylilies, that were purchased or otherwise obtained (or wait-listed) this year for their name associations include:

Daylilies

'Conspiracy Theory' (that's for me, and I don't have it yet - I'm on a wait list)
'Stars My Destination' (for one of DH's favorite SF novels)

Irises

'Alien Mist' (partly for the bloom, partly for the SF theme)
'Poem of Love' (DH loves poetry, and we have one poem that is "ours")
'Purple People Eater' (SF theme; also a song on the radio when I was a kid)
'Sara's Beauty' (name of DD's friend)
'Telepathy' (SF theme, grabbed it from the club pile without a picture or description, solely for the name)

I don't usually buy plants only for their name, and ultimately, the plant has to look good and perform, or it's out of here - despite its name.

Someday, maybe, if we move, there might be themed beds. Shrug! In that event, it's looking like there's going to be more than one SF (or F & SF) bed. Hilarious!
Evaluating an iris seedling, hopefully for rebloom
