I my hands here all of my Pachypodiums and Adenium obesum go dormant during the indoor season, despite keeping them sunny and warm. All start waking up somewhere in February.
When I see them slowing down, which is somewhere in October, I taper down watering. Those in the sunny greenhouse will get a spray over the top every so often. Essentially I don't want them to lose their roots, that's why I don't withold water completely, especially on my young Adenium obesum plants. My Pachypodiums will lose all their leaves, Adeniums keep some, but they don't look that perfect comes Spring.
