I was mistaken, those do look like buds to me! Hurray! I've seen tiny leaves before (about that size) and they weren't as "bulbous" looking at those look. I may be a little jealous of your TC budding already, I'm currently waiting for the weather here to cool down enough to see if mine buds/blooms (it was a gift from a friend, so the flower color will be a surprise!). *Blush*
