I agree the virus for most people is harmless but if a mosquito bites someone carrying the virus then bites a young person, male or female, the results can be devastating. Having worked with persons with developmental disabilities for much of my adult life I feel strongly about doing anything possible to prevent it. If it takes media hype and hysteria to wake people up then it is worth it if. Sadly, the spraying be enough unless we all take responsibility for standing water. The bee kill in SC was just pure stupidity. They sprayed too late in the day and, most importantly, they neglected to inform the bee keepers.
Minds are like parachutes; they work better when they are open.
