Make your own.....better yet, get a grain mill, grind your own grains and make the bread. That way you KNOW there isn't "junk" in it. Fresh veggies are more costly than canned, tho I do, on occasion, purchase canned green beans. Canned without salt, if I can find them. Lettuce is about $1.49 a head here..........lasts us for "maybe" 3 meals.

You are almost always (notice I said "almost") better making everything yourself.

I don't keep bread in the house anymore (unless I make it myself), I hardly ever bake unless we're going somewhere and I can take it and leave any leftovers. Satisfies my urge to bake, we can have a taste or 2, and the rest is gone.

Boxed breakfast food, for the most part, is nasty, unless you get something like corn flakes, shredded wheat, etc. Eat it WITHOUT sugar. Fruit juices are pretty sugar-laden too.........once again, read the labels.

I use coconut oil most of the time, extra virgin olive oil once in awhile.

Cheese is our downfall..........but not that highly processed crap. I get mine at a cheese store that gets their cheeses from local factories.

Ya gotta read labels, use portion control, and eat REAL food.

Someone once told me regarding foods..........."white is the enemy"..........flour, sugar, etc.

Since we have eliminated most of that which is not healthy, the Spousal Unit and I feel much better, and are not sick.

Oh, and drink LOTS of water every day...........they say 1 ounce per pound of your body weight is ideal.......... Green Grin! It flushes the toxins and crap out of your body and keeps your skin hydrated.

Great advice but none of which I follow!! Crying
