For me, I have approx 30 amaryllis that I have had since 2003, acquiring some each year. They are all in clay pots, in Sept or Aug depending on where the weather is going temp wise...I start by letting them dry out; aft they are dried out I move them to the basement which stays in the mid 40-50s. I remove the leaves as they yellow up. During the winter I give each pot a small amount of water every 2-3 weeks. Come spring I get them outside to start the process all over.
As Yogi Berra said, “It's tough to make predictions, especially about the future.”
