You can also use used coffee grounds on the top of the soil of your pot as a cat deterrent. None of my indoor cats liked the scent of coffee. I now use coffee grounds in my garden beds to keep the neighbor's cat from using the beds for her toilet. So far, I haven't met a cat that is a coffee lover ... Smiling
I'd rather weed than dust ... the weeds stay gone longer.
