I wash my hands and arms. Twice !!
I never touch any part of my body before washing. If i do.that part of body will itch like 👺 for hours and get inflamed.
Lord knows ? If i were to rub my eye ?

That sounds like an allergic reaction which hers also resembles.

I am slightly allergic to corn and rose bushes among other things.
When I walk through a corn stand with bare arms I come out scratching, same if I lay down on grass with a bare back.
One of the few good thing about hot sweaty days and that washes away the irritant so it usually does not last long, other wise I wipe myself down with a damp cloth.

For roses it is not so bad except some times a day to two days later I will get a headache and find some part of my arms or hands aching.
If it is a larger thorn easy to remove , some times you find those when you pick some thing up and it feels like you stabbed yourself, but sometimes it is just a tiny pepper sized speck of thorn that lodged in the skin.
I pull or sqeeze it out and the headache and sore spot go away.

If I wipe my eyes with corn pollen on my hands I get annoying weepy eyes for about an hour.
