If you want to top or prune. You can do it anytime. Old times was when dormant. New ! Farmers prune and top fruit trees right after harvest !
Good luck with netting. Because any hole left in netting the birds will find. Bad bird.bad bird 👺!!! I just let my cherries grow tall so i can share with birds. I get the low ones ! Birds get high ones !
