I kept a tomato plant going on my enclosed back porch one winter. Worked out ok, just had to rattle the plant occasionally to get the flowers pollinated. Didn't keep it the whole winter, but I did get some tomatoes off it.
Confidence is that feeling you have right before you do something really stupid.
