IrisLilly, I've attached a photo of my Maya Mint (MDB). As is evident from the many fine images you've posted, you know that Maya Mint (MDB) is a very diminutive plant with blooms that rise only 3 - 6 inches (8 - 15 cm) above the ground, so it should be situated 'up front', in a place that invites a closer look. This photo was taken on May 3 so, for me, it is a rather early bloomer, perhaps the earliest of all my irises. The bloom is exceedingly rich and complex, inviting prolonged contemplation . . . and jubilation! Multum in parvo (L. Much in little).
