I looked back at photos and found on June 1st, the blooms began opening at 9:15 PM. The second time it bloomed, on August 19th, it began opening at 10:50 PM. I don't think they always bloom in the middle of the night. Maybe placement according to the sun or moon, or just happenstance determines the timing of blooms. I'll have to find the photos from last year to,see what time they bloomed. I think it may have been closer to midnight, but I could be wrong...
