The first plant looks like its being eaten by bugs. Luckily, the kind of bugs that eat holes in leaves, not the kind of bugs that suck the life out of the plant. So, overall, I wouldn't worry about that one.

The second plant looks like it has been over-fertilized. Did you mix fertilizer into your soil when you planted?
