I've never grown that one so I can't speak from experience but I would think you could. It is a mix of Hibiscus moscheutos, H. laevis and H. coccenius which are all swamp/marsh dwellers. My wild H. moscheutos is in a rain garden and has it's roots under water 80 to 90 % of the year. My H. coccenius and H. laevis are in pots but I keep the pots in trays of water all year.
