Mine looks more like Lynn's photo and year round. Remind me and I'll give you a start of mine. It came from Fernwood in '13 and has grown nicely despite being mistreated by customs!

Anyway, I'm glad you found my answer helpful. I do like those sort of back of the leaf with intense cool colors as a different look. We'll see how this sorts out in the crosses. Roasted Chestnuts was from seed sent by Erwin Geiger so I don't know the pedigree of it. I self pollinated a bunch in '15 and have ~40 seedlings from that. They are a variable bunch from strongly-tipped progeny to red and red-purple solid colors. That gives me more of a clue as to what sort of genetics are behind this plant. Slabber's seedling is also a big ?? as to heredity. There are some selfed seed as well as some crosses.
