I have a white lilac, which my wife adores, which was given to us three years ago. When I initially planted it in a good area with good drainage. It also had a day lily included in the clump. The first season it did well and thats when I discovered the day lily. This year I noticed at least three to four daily lilies and the lilac never bloomed. Could it be that the day lily robs all the nutrient from the lilac resulting in no blossoms. I did in fact notice additional growth on the lilac, however NO Blooms. Please advise.
