I left strict care instructions for my 25+ year old Christmas Cactus, I was moving and wanted it brought after I had its home set up.
MIty instructions were ignored; it was way over watered and the roots rotted.
By the time I realized what the problem was, I went from an eight foot tree, to almost nothing. I am trying to save what little I have left.
Would it be best just to start over, growing from shoots, or is there a way to save the tree-like part (it is basically waterlogged and pulpy throughout ).
Any advice would be appreciated, I got the plant years ago from my late Dad and really don't want to lose it.
