Background history:

'Awesome Blossom' is a evergreen tetraploid introduced in 1996 by Jeff Salter. Jeff and Elizabeth Salter hybridize at Rollingwood Garden in Gainesville, Florida.

Awesome Blossom is an early to mid-season bloomer with possible re-bloom. It has a rust resistant rating of 2.0. It has earned the following AHS awards: DCS: 2004, JC: 1997, Honorable Mention: 2001, and Award of Merit: 2004.
