I am not a fan of super zooms like your 18-270. Asking for one lens that will do grandkids, flowers, scenery and wildlife is asking too much. Super zoom again. My favorite all 'round versatile lens for your camera is the Tamron 17-50/2.8 (non-VC version.) new $500. but get a used one instead about $220-$260. KEH.com or eBay for used. I own one. Have had over 8 of my photo students get a used one and they are very happy. Gene
