Yep, keeping my fingers crossed. Everything i read said it needs high humidity too, except this one post I came across on gardenweb. Not sure where this person lives, but sounds close to my climate:

I grow this plant, I'm in zone 10 or perhaps 9 this year, it is on the north side of my lath house and has a proper 2 ply roof over it. It get indirect light all day, and goes dormant in the winter. So I don't water it at all then. It is a beautiful vine. The sides of this area is not covered it's wide open, I have very dry humidity as low as 5% seldom over 50% and it get water once a week. I do not mist it, I treat it like a cactus, some of my Cissus are going nuts, growing all over every thing. I don't know if they will form a caudex from a cutting, please give me this information I sure would like to know. Thanks, Norma

Alan
