I learned about Sedgehammer from @KentPfeiffer a couple years ago and I can assure you, it DOES work and it is extremely effective. I still get nutgrass coming up here and there that I have to spray (in other words, I haven't completely eradicated it) but the results are indeed nothing short of miraculous. It is expensive but worth its weight in gold.
