I've had Blackthorne for quite a while. It isn't a great increaser for me here in zone 5a. I must admit though, it is in one of the gardens that usually is the last to get attention. Sometimes gets skipped all together. So this spring I gave all the DL's in that garden a dose of alfalfa pellets. It really perked up this year from that and all the rain we had. I feel guilty for mistreating such a beautiful daylily all these years.
