Blackthorne did well here for a few years. It slowly went down hill because of increasing shade. I moved it to a different location this Spring where it got full sun. It is slowly making a comeback. I'm glad to see it doing better because it is one of the better dark-eyed cultivars. There is nice contrast between the eye and the rest of the flower. Only negative is the scape. It could be slightly stronger, and about four inches longer.
