Happy to suggest what has worked well for me. If it's a drastic change, it could be overwhelming & burn the plant. IDK what your options are for easing into more sun, but that might be necessary. I can't tell from what's been said so far how dim the original spot was & how much brighter the new one is.

If stems refuse to stand up straight, don't worry, they'll just grow more side branches more quickly that way, like these pics show:
