Hi mike, sorry the delay in my reply, those darn enablers in the Semps got me digging and making a semp bed! LOL

I forced a couple of hyacinth bulbs in a vase with just water, they sell the vases that hold the bulb above the water. That was neat, then a couple of years ago I had purchased the amaryllis bulbs that you just potted up and they started sprouting, but these were potted up in dirt. I had them in a bright window with indirect sun but have not tried it since, oh I forgot, I had a couple of the paperwhites with those, it turned out very pretty, but I have not tried since and I truly do not remember how long it took, I really have to start keeping a calendar with these things in them.

I have to thin about it a bit, since I am zonally challenged, it more bulbs I either have to dig up or bring the planter inside if I want them to be outside during the warmer months.

Thanks so much for the GREAT info for forcing blooms, I thought I would have to put some in the fridge for a couple of months before I could force them.
