I'm afraid so. Apparently, they are just now discovering various types of viral diseases in the H. moscheutos including mosaic viruses from various sources. Sad I hate to think it will eventually kill my large 'Luna Pink Swirl'.

From what I've just read, it appears I should stay away from getting any more Rose of Sharon for the time being, too. They are all over the place around here and it will be awful if a virus attacks and kills them.
