I love gentians. I have a bottled nosed gentian that my mother dug up for me from her farm....30 years ago. I have taken it (its progeny) with me whenever I have moved. And given away babies to untold friends and aquaintances. It rewards me with s u btle yet stikely blue blossoms very late in the year, September. It always reminds me of my mother. (She told me, when first giving me the plant that a friend had been ccritical, thinking it was endangered (it is not). Lititle did they or I know it would produce so many babies over the years for me to pass on!? )
