Cinta, I had the same idea that you did. When we moved to the suburbs, we planted several oak trees on our couple of acres, but did not factor in that the squirrels would arrive. It seems that every year they increase and move closer and closer to the house. And lets not talk about the deer. I believe they sleep on the property. Blinking And oh, the rabbits . . . Practically every time I go out to water my plants outdoors, one or two of them will spring out from among them. Rolling my eyes.

I couldn't believe it one fall when I planted some bulbs in a large pot Lasagna style (my 1st and only try). That spring I waited for my flowers, but there were very few. I poked around and saw a round hole in the pot, but didn't think too much about it. That summer I emptied the pot and found very few bulbs. Some critter had a feast over the winter and ate nearly all of them. Grumbling

OK back to pepperomias. I need to see what I have a post a photo or two. I did not dare put them outside, as they would be some pests happy meal for sure. Grumbling
