Today the rains abated, the clouds parted, and the sun finally emerged, as did I to check on critter activity. None in the morning, only one frenetic bee around midday. However, in late afternoon, a few small winged visitors finally arrived on the scene.
First, my reddish brown wasp put in a brief appearance.

Then I checked out the Russian Sage and spotted a very small and very elusive sweat bee? Crossing Fingers!

It didn't hang around very long, but the wasp had returned to the Autumn Fire Sedum for a protracted modeling session.

When the wasp exited the scene again, a small bumble bee was bouncing around the Russian Sage and permitted a quick shot before disappearing into the interior of the shrub.

Then it was time to sit down at the computer and review the results.
