Whooooooo- Hooooooo

92-80 degrees all week. Too cold to use that pool! Got a Jacuzzi?

Yes....Fall is indeed here! I'm not an AZ native. I still blink when I say 92 degrees is a cool day and it feels like Fall due to a cold snap in the air. Hilarious! Actually shut off the air and now have the doors open and just the ceiling fans running.

Been putting on the robe and slippers at night. 66 here is cold! Can't wait for it to cool down a bit more so I can wear those nice thick fuzzy socks I'm so fond of. nodding

Dog has also been loving her walks. No more getting up a o' dark thirty a.m. or waiting for it to be dark enough outside for the street lights to come on to take her for walks.

Isn't it amazing in just within an hour or so distance from each other how radically different our temps, sun and rainfall can be? Again another quirk people who don't live don't get. I don't get it myself but it is what it is.

And the plants are finally happy and are no longer in that self defensive posture. I felt horrible all summer. Whenever I looked at them, they made me feel like I was abusing them. Sad I could hear them say, "Bad plant mommy.' even though I tried to make them understand this wasn't my fault!

Happy to say they are done pouting, have plumped up, gotten green and a few have shown blooms. The humidity. My hair hates it but the plants have been sucking it up like manna from Heaven and the occasional rain we get is like plant crack. Rained 2 days ago and then looked yesterday. No exaggeration the plants had gotten taller, greener and plumper in a whole 2 days! Blinking Hurray!

As for work outside, Sighing! only downside to fall and winter is that there are no more excuses to use not to get off your butt and do those projects. Yes...projects since planting is over until spring.

My latest is a monster job. Grumbling On the plus side I've lost 1.5 pounds in just one day!!! Keep this up for 2 more weeks and I will have lost that 6 pounds I wanted. Thumbs up By the time I finish the project they'll be force feeding me spaghetti, ice cream and buttered bread. Hmmmmm....
To boldly grow where no man has lawn before.
