Yesterday afternoon I started the pilgrimage of the potted plants to the greenhouse. I managed 2 loads with the loader tractor before it got too dark (and I wanted to watch Big Bang Theory at 7 pm anyway...........LOL). So far today I think I have hauled up at least 6 loads...........I'm "maybe" half done. It takes me longer because I prune what needs it after I get it taken up there but before I wheel it all in. I'm getting a pretty big "gut pile" outside the greenhouse.
It will get bigger because this is the year for cutting back the ferns; at least the Kimberly Queen ones. The other varieties look pretty decent where they are, but my opinion may change after I get them out of their "summer places" and see them out in the open from all sides.
The load I have on the loader tractor right now are the heaviest ones.......my big brugs in the 24 inch pots (they may be bigger, IDK..............). I have the hacksaw at the ready to cut those back. We could almost use what I cut off of them for firewood.
They are heavy; I had all i wanted to get them finagled onto the loader. They probably weigh more than I do (and I weigh alot......LOL)
