It was a perfect day, mild temperature, fall sun, gentle breeze. Light rain the night before made the soil perfect for working and planting bulbs. I was in the Zen of planting bulbs. The bulbs were nestled in for the long sleep, I was thinking about the promise of spring the bulbs represented. Pleased that it was such a perfect day and getting the bulbs in were the last of my chores for the day. Walking back to the house I had the organza bulb bag, glanced down and noticed the tag said Snowdrops, how could that be...I just planted 100 red tulips humilis, not white snowdrops! My Zen was fading, white just did not go in that spot, being freshly planted how hard could it be to dig up those misplaced bulbs, peel back the previously carefully planted grass and soil, dig them out and replace with the correct color. Once again my Zen was back, all was good in the universe. Wonder how many white snowdrops were missed.
