The current thinking is that if it does loop back it will go south again, and cross the Bahamas towards Miami.

Hope you can salvage that nice sweet almond, Tara. Doesn't look like too many roots are torn out of the ground so maybe just standing it up, staking it firmly against further wind damage will hold it together until it can root again. Cooler weather is coming so that will also help it but I do think you need to prune back some of the top growth as well.
