I once collected a pocketful of seeds at an arboretum, before seeing a sign that forbade me not to do so at the end of the walk. I was embarrassed, but didn't know what to do with the seeds, so I just pushed them into the bottom of my handbag. I have 2 young trees that I treasure from those seeds
