I'd taken some cutting late for the swap and they dropped their leaves.
I really thought they were gonners. But they came back to life and
put out new leaves after a while....

Bonsai trees will drop their leaves when really stressed, to save their
selves from trying to keep the leaves fed, then they grow them back
when the stress is gone... Maybe your viburnum are like that... Crossing Fingers!
