Derryl thanks so much for your help. I am bewildered by the neon orange things. I believe you are right that these are shellbark. Each one weighs in at approx .06oz. I am making hickory pie and it has a wonderful woodsy flavor that pecan pie does not have.

BTW...thank you also for the milkweed. I already have several plants growing from the roots you sent and tons of seeds! What type of milkweed did you say this is?
