Hello all, very casual, very small collection of succulents here (mostly jades and stapelias/huernias). After moving my plants indoors for the season, I noticed my basement had a very funky smell, almost like a cat had pissed on the plants before I brought them in. But I brought them in after work, in the middle of a rainstorm, so no. And since the stapelias weren't in bloom, I wasn't sure what it was coming from. Then today I discover this:
My Princess Pine (Crassula muscosa) in full bloom.
So I look it up in the plant database.
Flowers: Malodorous
Then on Wikipedia.
"When in flower, the plant can produce a pungent, acrid smell not unlike cat urine"
No. Kidding.
