For most of us (here in the USA, at least), Fall is in full swing! (And some are even experiencing cold Winter temps!) For me here in central Florida, it is Fall clean-up time. I decided to remove all my "older" seedlings that were in the 2 raised beds in my backyard. I will be planting them around my side yard instead. The raised beds have been amended and the registered daylily cultivars that I received this year will be transplanted into those raised beds. I will be finishing up the job tomorrow.

The hurricane damage to my yard actually prompted me to do a lot more in a shorter amount of time than I would have otherwise, so things are moving right along. Of course though, there is always more to do..... a gardener's work is NEVER done!

I have only 1 daylily blooming currently .... Thomas Tew. It has 1 more bud and that will probably be that last bloom for that cultivar this year.

I also have a new scape on Walter Kennedy! You can see it in the far upper right in the above photo. (That cultivar truly wows me. I love the red blooms!)

And here are 3 of 4 of the amended beds. (I will be finishing up the last bed tomorrow!) Unfortunately, when cleaning them out and amending them, I found lots of tree roots that had grown up into these raised beds. I have a large Oak tree in my backyard which is where I believe those roots came from. Sticking tongue out Angry Oh well ....

As others here on this forum have stated .... I can't wait until Spring!!!! Big Grin
