I planted some bluebonnet seeds in the yard where I could water from time to time. In the meantime, the Baby Blue-Eyes are coming up up where I water. They flourished the last couple of years and seeded out like I've never seen before, so naturally they would come up, but will be dependant on watering, I guess. I miss the rain. It's been really dry since the spring monsoon ended. I wish we had more blooms for all these butterflies that have shown up lately...but there's not many blooms out there in the wild. The Goldeneye, Viguiera dentata, is trying very hard, however, blooming well on the property in spite of the lack of rain. The Flame Acanthus in the yard has enough blooms for them, and the White Mistflower is starting to bloom. Some salvias are blooming, but the butterflies just seem to prefer Flame Acanthus over everything else! Fortunately, I have plenty of it in the yard!
I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority. E. B.White
Integrity can never be taken. It can only be given, and I wasn't going to give it up to these people. Gary Mowad
