Good morning. It was sunny and gorgeous all day yesterday, in the 70s. Currently 52F and partly cloudy, wind will be coming out of the NW and the high might only get to 58F. Tonight's temp forecasted to be between 38F and 40F.
Sally - not sure about grape vine for smoking. DH says bark has to be removed from the wood or it will yield a bitter flavor. Removing bark from wood is more work than DH wants to to.
Dave - are you sure your "egg" is an egg and not a fungus?
Ginny - gorgeous pics! I have a Dutch baby recipe that I clipped out of the newspaper a few years ago but have never tried. What's neat is that the writer gave recipes for 3 different sizes. Got my new 8" cast iron skillet yesterday so I'll be trying the recipe this coming weekend. I've made a souffle once and it turned out ok so hope my experiment will go well.
Re: lilies - somewhat envious of the garden space you all must have to become "addicts". Smiling I have only a few day lilies after doing some editing as the foliage takes up a lot of space in a small bed. The wind channels between houses here and tall things have to be staked.
Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize that we can't eat money. Cree proverb
