I have this plant in my garden. It is currently about 3 meters tall. It has sort of purplish leaves and it had whitish flowers in September in New Zealand. Currently it has purple berries which are about 1 cm in diameter. It might grow bigger. I just bought this property and this plant/tree looks like it is well established. Is it a useful plant? Can the berries be eaten. It is taking up prime sunny location in the yard.
