Hi Ann: You are lucky to have the St. Joseph's Lily. It can be difficult to locate these bulbs for sale. They don't need to be planted as deep as Tulips or daffodils. You want the top of the neck just visible at the soil surface. Mulch, for a little extra protection, if you have more than the rare freeze. A sheltered location on the south side of the house, for heat radiation off the walls, would also help if you are concerned about a heavy freeze. The St. Joseph Lily is one of the most hardy of the Amaryllis.
