I was walking around the yard as usual this morning, checking out plants. I have a Rattail Cactus hanging in one of the oak trees and from a distance I noticed this Banded Sphinx Moth clinging to the side of the cactus. I thought it was stuck on the cactus spines so I gently lifted it to move it elsewhere but it seemed to be fine so put it back on the cactus stem. When I went back a couple of hours later, it was gone ... I sure hope it flew off and a lizard didn't get it.
