Yes, but, in the meantime, how many months would incorrect evaluations be attributed to the wrong plant? And how many people might associate it with the wrong plant because they never saw the correction? How many vendors might miss a sale because of it? I'm on record as one who would never cut off a scape on a new plant because I want to be sure a plant is what it's supposed to be. There are just so many different factors that affect how a plant grows anyway - climate, soil, sun, shade, fertilize, etc. Giving an evaluation that ends up not being correct because it wasn't the correct plant is one that can easily be avoided. It's just my way of looking at it, of course.
