My Bulbophyllum echinolabium is blooming. I got this from Ken (drdawg) in late spring or early summer and didn't expect it to bloom this season, much less this early! Yes it has the wonderful fragrance of roadkill but only when right up on the bloom; it has become much less in the past day or so.



I am impressed with the size of the bloom - one of the largest of orchids (this is about a foot tall!). The color is a somewhat muted but the shape is excellent. I enjoy the plant itself - the pseudobulbs are very interesting.
